I was born early 80s. I live in San Diego.

We used to have “smog days” similar to snow days. We couldn’t go outside for recess or to play. The air was deemed so bad that they kept us indoors. It wasn’t fun.

Then CA got its shit together and did something about it. Air quality got a LOT better. Typically blue skies and warm/temperate climate.

The skylines themselves were so much less broken, but San Diego is really go about preserving views (a LOT of people hate the coastal commission, partly for good reason, but they are in large part why we don’t look like LA with their billboards everywhere and such.

that’s very scenic.

i remember grey, with a hint of blue - it was cold a lot. when I grew up we didnt have digital tech, no one took pictures of the sky
