Don't get me wrong. I like Venice, I was there every summer for years. But 5€ won't help. Not even 50€. Maybe 200€. But then I won't be able to afford it anymore.
There must be another solution.
Expensive ticket for day visitors but cheaper for guests from the region. Lottery or by invitation.
