@FractalEcho The group of admins is from different places AFAIK. They have a list here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TNzA5mMbkKhluLNVDqhvTkFWV7XzlWoR4ZujSGV0KVA It's paid for by Princeton HCI.

@FractalEcho I almost made a joke about hci.social being funded by loose change from between @andresmh's sofa cushions, but wasn't certain if you actually wanted him to be tagged. 😄

I haven't heard of any HCI-adjacent BBB or Jitsi instances. Sounds like something that could be very useful! But I've also heard they're a pain to host, sadly.

@andresmh @FractalEcho I dunno, does Moodle do video conferencing these days? 😀 Big Blue Button is a web platform intended for online lectures. It can be used like Zoom, but the affordances lean into "one person presents, everyone else mostly listens" kinda scenarios slightly more than typical meetings. My university self-hosts it, they went through months of it being almost reliable with the occasional no-audio day.
