FYI—I'm not seeing any pediatric availability for the new covid shots in my area—or anywhere in the US I've checked with vaccines.gov. It looks like those are maybe running behind the adult shots, logistically.
@kissane Extremely irritated that we have to wait two weeks, since we've been notified of two COVID cases among families in our kid's preschool this year already.
@kspaziani Oh yeah, they wouldn't actually give it to you/your kid. I'm just wondering if their appointment system is synced with their actual supply—we've gone to appointments before and then been sent home for this reason.
@kissane Our pediatrician suggested we go to a chain drug store to get shots for our kids because they would be getting them well before our local clinics.
@DJTentMode Oh yeah, that's definitely been the case for the past few rounds. Walgreens and CVS always get them in, and around then or shortly after, our grocery and Rite Aid. Our pediatrician's office never got a shipment of the boosters last year, at all.
