@matt It’s just a bit weird Apple can’t make it at least cross-platform (on their own platforms) or let third-party apps add content in there.

I can’t journal. Tried many times, just doesn’t work for me. Would love if they could use my phone and other apps to build some kind of a timeline of my life for me.

@matt on the topic of Freeform: I love that app. I am a Figma user, but that app lets me just sketch out a bunch of concepts with a Pencil on an infinite canvas, then reference those sketches on my Mac. Figma doesn't have that feature set even a little bit. Figjam ain't the same.

@matt I’ll stick w Day One but having an app with text and voice memos in line like Journal does is great for songwriting and surprisingly hard to find in a lot of notes apps!

@matt it’s insanity to me this is phone only at launch. The iPad would be perfect for this use case. I’m not long form typing on my phone.

@jaredbyrd It is kinda a bummer how a few Apple apps in a row have been iPhone-only at launch. Apple Music Classical as well, and I don’t think that has an iPad version yet even months later.

@skoobz Yeah, I remember when Notes was basically a joke, but they’ve put a ton of time and effort into it to get it to a great place today.

@matt Have most of my life in Day One and don’t intend to move, but glad to see some competition and possible new features as Apple works on their journaling app.
