For what it is worth I highly recommend getting a used flagship smartphone in good condition that came out 2-3 years ago. Buying a new phone at this point feels like buying a new car, it just doesn't make sense given how little smartphone companies are doing to improve their products in a meaningful sense (i.e., not just upping numbers on a spec sheet that no one actually cares about).
