Fare for first tap will be debuited from Presto, and transfer to subsequent modes not charged. Not clear what happens if first tap is cheap local bus, then tap for expensive train and then tap for TTC. One would expect one would be charge for most expensiv ride as opposed to first ride.
@jfmezei not how it’s going to work. In fact this program has started already with YRT and other GTA transit agencies so we can see how they did it.
If you take TTC then transfer to GO, what you will pay for the #GOTransit will be the standard rate minus the #TTC amount you paid for. So the cheaper fare essentially gets deducted from the bigger.
@jerome The TTC document doesn't mention GO trains, only compares YRT-TTC interchanges. And in that doc, the examples all point to paying the first fare on route with free transfer and no second billing to pay difference between first fare and higher second fare. (which I found odd because of Go Trains )
