Her "case" hasn't been fully adjudicated, though the reporting certainly paints a grim picture.

In any event, this is starting to feel like a dead end.

Probably we can acknowledge two things:

Misogyny and racism are deeply engrained in MAGA politics.

Plagiarism is bad because it erodes trust and epistemological integrity, so sanctioning the people who are found to have done it is appropriate and important.

MAGA, like other forms of American policing, is built, in large part, on the selective application of norms, rules, and law.

I have zero doubt that gender and race both played significant roles here.
