It looks like my extremely simple auto-moderation script is working now. It's doing nothing clever, so will have to change if the spammer changes pretty much anything about what they're doing, but they seem to have stuck with the same format for about 24 hours now.
@KarenCampe they seem to only be mentioning a small, fixed number of people. It's been very annoying for the half dozen people on this instance who have been getting notifications continuously for a couple of days!
