Fascinating! Does anybody else have ticker-tape synesthesia? Some people see spoken words converted into text in their heads. Interesting to note that the text I used to see when I was younger was handwritten and now it's typed.

Plus: helps with spelling
Minus: really bad with certain puns and rebus
Weird: if it's a name I've only heard and I lock into a certain spelling in the mental subtitles, it is very disquieting and difficult to remake the connection to something else
