Talent from Actwresgirlz (AWG) abruptly left the promotion 3 days ago then showed up at the MARIGOLD press conference at the last minute to join forces with Rossy.
I don't know AWG so this will be new to me, but I can't help feel sorry for them after Rossy gutted their roster. Looks like Toru Okada may have been right about him after all.... 🤔
@MibIH I mean, if Rossy can offer them better deals, then I don't have a problem. It sucks for AWG, but I'm here for better situations for the talent over promotions.
Plus the AWG talent could have reached out to Rossy first, or at least Fuka could have and she brought talent with her.
Rossy needs more than what left Stardom, so he had to get it from somewhere.
@MibIH I thought he would have grabbed more freelancers, but instead he locked in a really good opening roster with ex Stardom and AWG. And he's teamed up with Wrestle Universe, which is huge.
I'm excited, and I'm sure as the promotion grows, he'll look at who's freelance to come make appearances. But I think Rossy wants folks who are primarily focused on Marigold, and not those who may disappear to the US for long periods while he starts up. (Giulia being the obvious exception)
Well, it will be interesting to see how the domestic fans respond, whether they are cynical towards Rossy's tactics, or simply want to continue supporting joshi and/or the STARDOM/AWG alumni now under his purview.
@MibIH so Fuku posted on Twitter about her side of what happened. Based on her events, Rossy didn't poach, she approached him. It's in Japanese, but I found Google's translator worked fine
