I fear history is repeating itself in such obvious ways. Fascism is rising and Ukraine is Spain in 1938. The Ukraine on its current trajectory will lose the war. The US will most certainly defer aid decisions until after the election which will most likely be too late.
Iran has effectively become a Russian vassal, providing drones and ammunition to the Russian war effort, while also opening up a second front for the US to worry about. We're in deep geopolitical trouble. Happy Wednesday.

history doesn't rhyme, it literally does repeat itself over & over because oligarchs, fascists, monarchs, whatever they're calling themselves this year... they are sociopaths who will never change
Post 1989, it seemed like the trends of liberal democracy and peaceful trade between countries were sweeping through the world; they rose like the tide, but then at some point in recent years they began to decline again. Even so things are much better globally now than in 1988.
