Yesterday I got to hang out with farm animals. It was nice to be around chickens, horses, goats, sheep, turkeys, and rabbits. I miss living with so many critters. Pretty sure I still remember how to milk goats after decades of not doing it. One of the goats took a particular liking to @Knightky who gave her all the scritches.
@Knightky I also hung out with birds of prey. A few bald eagles were extra chatty and made piping cries at me. They sound much more like seagulls than they do red-tailed hawks. Not sure why so many movies voice-over eagles with red-tailed hawks. I also danced with an owl, and another owl made cute little peeping sounds at me. My favourite, the turkey vulture, wasn’t at all interested in me this time.

Oddly, this is the type of thing (except the "hug out" colloquialism) the MC of a current WiP might relate. I'm bookmarking for reference!
