"But Hebrew is lovely, and Israel is lovely, and everybody who doesn't think so is an antisemite, and the university protesters are pro Hamas, and everything that doesn't agree with me is Hamas, and Hebrew is lovely".

Obviously, that makes me an antisemite, and not someone who is sick of the duplicity of the Israeli state, sick of the genocide being perpetrated by Israel, sick of the gaming of the system by Israel and the West so that the only political outline left is Hamas, especially after Rabin and Arafat died. Although, it wasn't as if Mossad didn't try and kill Arafat, and happily planned to shoot down commercial airliners to do so.

@HornedLivestock These fuckers have been guns to hire since WW2. Who could argue back then until they went ad-hoc on orders from home? 'Never Again' they said. Unless it impinges on our place at the top table. Dig deep with JFK, Martin and Malcolm.

@JackTheCat "You can't call Israel a terrorist state".

Hmmm, given the actions of "Irgun when they bombed the British administrative headquarters for Palestine, killing 91", it can easily be argued that is what Israel is.

The reason that Israel decries terrorism is that it works.

@HornedLivestock No arguments here. The sympathy quotient ran out a long time ago. You can't repeat what made you victims. In any sphere. .

HornedLivestock,

@JackTheCat Same here. The Balfour declaration reeks of Zionism, reeks of the politics of the period, and precedes the Holocaust. The intention was always to "make Palestine as Jewish as England is English."

Any good faith garnered after the atrocities committed by the Nazis has long since eroded, as the pattern is not only set, but repeats.

And that is without going into Dimona and the development of nuclear arms, the type of pariah state move that would otherwise make you Iran or North Korea

@HornedLivestock Insidious. Don't you dare forget. Don't you dare forgive. Unless it's us.

@JackTheCat That's the reason that I harp on about the IHRA definition of antisemitism, as it has an obvious effect to chill dissent, as outlined by Ken Stern, who wrote the goddam definition.

By working to that definition, the acceptance of Zionism becomes the de facto position, as the definition chills dissent, including among non-Zionistic Jews, of which there are plenty.

Thus, it becomes antisemitic to say that some Jews don't believe in Zionism.

@HornedLivestock @JackTheCat

the IHRA can ram their definition of anti-semitism up their fucking collective arses!

The utter detestation of Israel for their heinous acts of cruelty up to and including the wholesale murder of women and children is not anti-semitism, it is normal and natural. It seems that a great many people throughout the world agree that point of view judging by the number of protests and demonstrations.

Who gives a flying fuck what the IHRA think or don't think?
