might get myself a gasmask

not even for kinky reasons, I’m just tired of sobbing every time I have to chop onions while cooking

@luna can recommend the 3M Scott RFF4000. it's comfortable, easy to adjust, has a very wide viewing angle, the speech diaphragm works reasonably well if you speak clearly, and the filters aren't expensive (P3 costs about £10/pc, combined A2P3 is about £18, the really fancy combined A2B2E2K2-P3 ones are £25)

@luna I bought the mask from Pro Safety Services a few years back. price has gone up a bit since, I think they're about £160 now. still a good deal for how versatile it is.

the filters are the Scott Pro 2000 series; I've been buying mine from Allpipe Breathing Apparatus (gasmask-respirators.co.uk) for about four years. haven't found anyone else who beats them on price for legit Scott filters.

I primarily wear mine for gardening since I am absurdly allergic to pollen.
