@deshipu I've been fascinated this last year training in Longsword based off proto germanic texts starting around 1400, they are very inclusive and descriptive of left handed as well as right. Starkly different to the traditional but more modern Chinese system I study!
@concretedog Yes, this was a simplification to make it sound nice, of course there were places and times where they couldn't afford to simply declare a large chunk of the population disabled.
