My new thing is buying cheap CDs from charity shops instead of streaming. I cancelled Spotify about 8 months ago. Spent about the same on CDs. Think I might build a Pi based auto CD ripper :)

Last night I dreamed I was in a string quartet performance that was somehow a talk about satellite pollution. I wish I could figure out how to do this... playing angry music sounds way more fun than giving an angry lecture.

@sundogplanets Makes me think about when I worked for librespace foundation I often taked about the o reilly/make series of DIY satellite books.. the author Sandy Antunes had a personel satellite project (cubesat iirc) that did some sciencey sensing but they used either midi or OSC as the data package so they could also have the receiver composing live into Sandys modular synthesiser!

@biglesp n100 mini pc's are a really interesting niche atm. A great trade of price and power wise. Will watch with interest.

@biglesp those "GMK" units with them look really interesting, like 12-16Gb of DDR4 or 5 plus m2 ssd's for less than £150. N100 is a pretty decent chip as you say.

@DrupalCampCemaes lol I'm not even a web dev! My talk topics are quite random, opensource is a constant theme, but Rocketry, FreeCAD, KiCad, Robot hardware or any of the random endless things I've built as a maker, boats, watches, model hot air balloons... the madness never ends. :)

@chrishuck yeah I've done a few variants of that but these are just quick tests! The whole track design needs tweaks, needs to be a bit thicker to allow higher side walls on the drive wheel etc.
