The eruption area at Litli-Hrútur (e. “Small Ram”) has only been open for a day and we already have one fatality.
Like I warned when this started, even though the eruption area is incredibly dangerous in and of itself, what’s likely to kill you is the walk. It’s long and through some of the worst terrain available.
A twelve-year-old girl also collapse from exhaustion (what’s wrong with the parents?) and a woman got separated and lost for a while.
