Hello, everyone. As you can see, my name is Ignacio. I created this magazine because I consider this medication to be very special for ADHD treatment, in comparison with stimulants, like Concerta or Elvanse/Vyvanse.

Here are some points to consider, especially if you suspect you can have ADHD, or if you know someone who has ADHD, or if for any reason you can't take stimulants:

1. Strattera is a non-stimulant medicament to treat ADHD. That is, it's not based neither on methylphenidate nor on amphetamine, but on atomoxetine, so addiction will never be an issue.

2. Because its non-stimulant nature, its effects will start being noticed after several weeks or even months, assuming it works for you. In comparison, Concerta effects start being noticed after several minutes.

3. On the other hand, if Concerta effects last for 10-12 hours after you take a pill, Strattera effects last for 24 hours, and it has an accumulative effect. That is, like filling a glass with water droplets until the glass is full.

4. It can have awful side effects, depending on the person who takes it. They can be manageable or unbearable. There are some people who want to stop taking it because of this, but those side effects usually appear during the first week or two weeks.

5. Any dosage advice, or any doubt about quitting or not, or anything similar, always talk to your practitioner/psychiatrist/doctor. You can vent or ask for support, but we can't give you any indication.
