joeyjustice,

I'm definitely interested in Framework. Being able to choose the ports, and location of the ports will solve a small but continuesly annoying problems.

gish,

Definitely trying one for my next build.

Magusbear,

I love the concept, especially with the IO modules. But I wouldn't know what to do with the old device/parts even if I can easily built a new machine out of them. The last time I got a new laptop I sold the old one, so it didn't go on a landfill anyways.

The thing that interests me the most is the upgradable speakers/webcam.

My current laptop has the crappiest speakers, and the webcam is beyond garbage. I would give anything to be able to pop in some new 2023 ones.

I already see they have better speakers available on their website. Not to mention future upgrades. No doubt webcams and stuff are going to get better, and you don't necessarily need a whole new laptop just because you started a job that requires you to have a decent webcam.

I freaking love it.

Or just the fact you can swap the screen from glossy to matte if you want in literal seconds. Now imagine if in the future they release some nice 4K panels?
