Who’s “they”? It’s your bandwidth and infrastructure. They only provide the software.
If you have a million viewers it’s up to you to find the bandwidth and servers to serve a million viewers. And figure out how you’re gonna finance it all as well.
The author made all of that clear in the blog post. Part of why it’s hard to take off is that it’s not something people can just sign up and use like peertube.
