The new Thinkpad L series has the same improvement as T series, but the AMD variants still uses the Ryzen 7030 series mobile APU

The L series will still be using the Ryzen 7030 series of processors, just like the last year. While I’m happy that they have embraced the spirit of Thinkpad again, I’m really disappointed by the machine using outdated Zen3 processors.

Jumuta,

so what parts are replaceable?

velox_vulnus,

So far, there’s no details about the same, but if we were to go by the changes bought in the T-series 2024 edition, it looks like it will be similar, with modular SODIMM RAM, replaceable ports and battery. The processor will however be soldered.

Jumuta,

aren’t those components replaceable on a lot of other laptops already? I don’t really see the point of buying a ThinkPad then tbh.
