Yes, the woman who shot and killed her dog should be shamed for such a horrible act, and everyone with an ounce of compassion should feel something. And even though it was "legal" in the state, legality does not equal morality.

Moreover, there is no justification for the unnecessary killing, torture, or exploitation of another living being, be they a dog, cat, bird, cow, pig, fish, duck, deer, human, etc.... But, that too is legal and most people actively support it everyday.

So far this year, over 18 billion animals have been killed in the US alone for human consumption. Countless more culled, tortured, and exploited.

So if you're upset about a single dog being killed "legally", you should also be outraged at the mass slaughter taking place all around you right now. The next step is to stop supporting it and go vegan.
