it seems that the .git/ dir on the repo I use to manage and update @MostFollowed got to be like 4GB because of hourly commits of a large json file. All the advice to get the .git/ to be smaller does on the digitalocean server for some reason.
So I checked out a fresh version of the repo and copied the fresh .git/ dir over. Simple fix!
