We got congress, Supreme Court and presidency. Congress makes the rules/law President signs then into lease or vetoes it. Supreme Court makes sure the laws are constitutional.

DarkenLM,

I don't know if they can be really called "governments", more like factions in a global war.

  • Human United Force: The highest power of the HUF is the HUF Council: Composed by the highest ranking generals of the nations that survived the Wipe. They rose to power as every government on Earth got killed during a genocide called The Wipe. They tried to control everyone and everything, while trying to keep the Machines at bay. Military officers were given a higher status in this society, while everyone else was essentially a slave.
  • NeoTechnos: The leader of the NeoTechnos is The HyperMatrix, a powerful Artificial Intelligence that controls the entirety of the NeoTechnos, a robotic society that overthrew their human creators and decided to destroy them. Given that every machine in that society is controlled by the HyperMatrix, the leader choice is pretty obvious, and rebellion was essentially non-existent.
  • The Mechanicus Jihad: The Jihad is leaded by The Five, which are the greatest and smartest members of the Jihad, elected in an election where all members participate. The Five have the final word on any decision that is made, but try to gather the general opinion on the matter beforehand.

For Urbis, most governments on the region I am focused on are city state-based republics, although the definition of who gets to be a "citizen" varies widely. Furthermore, the people living in the "protectorates" surrounding each city-state tend to have far less of a say in politics than those living closer to the center of power.

GameDragon101,

For Equinoxia, you a realm master for many of the core realms. These realm masters have almost complete control of the realm that they are in, but don't act very often. They are more so for keeping the powers within the realms in check and ensuring that everyone within is safe. The only beings that have power above them are the gods, for they are the ones that gave them the title, and legends, for they have been around, seen much more, and are (sometimes) much stronger than them. Otherwise, they are superior to all.

For individual civilizations inside the realms, many important families have the power. Many of the important families are that way because they had ancestors to have done great acts or that ascended to a god, but that isn't always the case. Some families are important for the actions they were capable of doing, such as defending the nation from ruin, although if they do so, then they are also likely to become ruler of that land.

Beyond there, power trickles down in different ways, greatly depending on the nations. Some will give more power to the working class, while others will give power to the rich. It varies is far too much to explain.
