Congrats to for making their introductory Premium offer available to existing as well as new subscribers. Too often services are willing to entice new customers but not willing to reward loyal customers.

Watched the first two episodes of via . Disappointed on a number of levels. Also, why did the initial setting need to move to Chicago instead staying w Toronto?

My primary disappointment is the directing which sapped all the urgency and pacing of the book and made it stilted and flat. The primary character of the opening episode is lethargic and vacant, when he was driven and motivated in the original telling of the story. It goes downhill from there.

So excited that Sort Of season 3 is starting on CBC Gem. First 2 episodes now up. Love the cast.

CBC Gem experience on the Roku:

  • I’ve had to login to the app every day.

  • When going to the activate dot cbc dot ca domain I’ve had to do the login & activate proces twice (every time). The first time after entering the device code I just get kicked back to a login screen.

Mildly annoyed.

i don't think the monitors posts here but they ignored me on anyway so just another about "why is not available on ".

So what are people bender watching these days?

I am looking for slow compelling dramas that aren't dystopian. Pops of humour always welcome, as is utter bloody silliness.

Pretty much any language as I use subtitles even in English.

Have Netflix, Britbox, CBC Gem.

This was delivered to me as a pop-up on Facebook. I have never in my life seen so many billionaires so heavily invested in pushing Conservative politics as this past year.

For those unaware, news is shared on Social Media through links, which are unaffected by Canada's Online News Act. Links are not publication. Notice how Meta owns Threads, yet they are miraculously not restricted in any way? Only Facebook and Instagram is, because this is a show of force and power, not a real issue.

Re on "There is currently no CBCGem App on Roku because we have not developed one as of yet. There are plans to start developing one later in the year but unfortunately, we cannot provide any timeline as to when this would be available." - Not very satisfactory.
