There's active #rewilding work being done in Newman Park in #CentralSaanich 👍
I saw new big leaf maple & garry oak #trees planted in the old pasture fields by the parking lot.
Back from garden centre.
Winds blew me over, into laurel bushes, on my way to backyard. I didn't fall to the ground, the bush caught me. I'm not injured. I get knocked over in high winds often & have to walk with safety help(when someone is available) to avoid falling to the ground & getting injured.
The sun emerged for an hour.
I went to get stakes & also picked up a pre-order of chicken feed for a neighbour who has a sprained ankle & unable to drive for awhile.
I didn't fall; just fumbled when my phone was being handed back because I was standing atop a sketchy, uneven pile of driftwood pieces, to be able to get high enough to film inside the porthole open window.

#CentralSaanich Mayor Ryan Windsor said the location at 1183 Verdier Ave., which is close to transit and other services, had long been marked for densification in the municipality’s official community plan.
The District of #CentralSaanich says #ButterfieldPark will soon grow to nearly double its current size once it finishes purchasing an 18-acre parcel of land.
On Friday, the municipality said it had negotiated an agreement to purchase 18 acres of land at 1124 Mount Newton Cross Rd., which borders Butterfield #Park, at a cost of $3.2 million.
