An EU humanitarian convoy, carrying over 134 tonnes of aid, is on its way from Dubai to #Gaza.
As needs are on the rise and delivery by land remains crucial, supplies such as shelter and healthcare items provided by 🇮🇪 & our humanitarian partners will reach Palestinians in need.
🌧️ On 26 and 27 February 2024, heavy rains caused flash flooding in central and northern #Malawi, resulting in extensive damage to infrastructure and housing.
More than 10,000 people were displaced due to the flooding, and are now sheltering in schools, churches and other safe locations.
To support the Malawi Red Cross Society - MRCS in providing aid to those affected by the floods, we contributed EUR 150,000 to the IFRC for disaster response.

⛑️ In the wake of the disaster, we swiftly stepped in, delivering emergency support and coordinating over 30 search and rescue teams and 7 medical teams on the ground.

In the context of increasing global humanitarian needs, the Forum will be an opportunity to engage in insightful discussions and explore sustainable solutions to address the most urgent humanitarian crises.
This week, 2 EU humanitarian air bridge flights to 🇪🇬 will deliver 89 tonnes of cargo, including shelter, water and sanitation and health supplies, provided by 🇩🇪 & 🇫🇷.
Together with EU countries and our partners, we continue to ensure vital supplies reach Palestinians in need.
This week, we planned 4 EU humanitarian air bridge flights in aid of #Gaza transporting EU-owned stock, supplies from humanitarian partners and donation by 🇫🇷.
This brings the total of delivered aid to over 1,000 tonnes through 24 flights to support those in need in Gaza.
Following the impact of hurricane Otis on the west coast of Mexico, the EU will provide €1.3 million in humanitarian assistance to help address the most urgent needs of the affected population.
The funding will provide assistance to the most vulnerable, including shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene, as well as support for livelihoods and other basic needs.
We continue to work around the clock to channel humanitarian assistance to #Gaza.
6 additional EU humanitarian air bridge flights ✈️ will depart in the coming days from Italy, Belgium and Romania.
This brings the total number of EU air bridge flights for Gaza to 14 in the past weeks, transporting a cumulative 550 tonnes of emergency aid supplies.
The cargo arrives in Egypt for quick deployment across the Rafah border crossing point.
