If the community has not already forged and formed itself such that they will self-support, then it's time to let go.
While I don't see masto as particularly harmful, it and the fediverse as it currently stands is not proving to be one of the ways to solve actual problems.
Social media is useless to most people, in much the same way as news media.
We need social discussion, or social cooperation, social news facts ? and social tools to #GetShitDone

How many more years shall we continue to only talk about what is being done?
We seem to be far better at documenting and bitching about the demise of much life on this planet, than doing anything about it - other than politely asking pyschopaths to stop being psychopaths...
