Sometimes I avoid bands due to their name or artwork, there's often no rhyme or reason, daft I know.
However, @derthomas convinced me to spin Cattle Decapitation with the lure of #Melodeath.
I'm not sure Deathgrind or Brutal Death metal is for me and I'll need to spin the album a few times, but those sections of MDM in Scourge of the Offspring 😍
Talking with @derthomas@sariash and @HailsandAles about Iron Maiden albums and which is the best after Dickinson's return. They insisted "Dodgy Artwork Album" aka Dance of Death was one of them.
So I have two questions for everyone:
What Maiden album/s hold/s a special place in your heart?
What album of any band do you love but the artwork is a disaster?
I need a filing system or even better, a secretary for my bookmarks on here.
I've just found this gem from @derthomas a song that's guaranteed to remove the last vestiges of sleep and have the bed springs bounce you out that bed!

Fires in the Distance - Air not meant for Us
If you like melodic doom and death metal with mild growling vocals then I definitely recommend this new album from Fires in the Distance.
As soon as it had finished I hit repeat, what more do you need to know? 😉
