If you're looking for an open-source community platform, don't look at Rocket.Chat. The company behind it is becoming worse and worse.
First they paywalled standard functionality, now they silently put people running "community edition" on "enterprise trial" hoping to catch people off-guard and scare them into paying up.
What kind of garbage business is this?
@unfa That is really scummy behaviour. Have you considered migrating to another platform?
I've not used rocket chat myself, is it more of a forum, or a live chat platform? If the latter, matrix has been working really well for me in recent years.
I mean, I'm happy that #Slack is slowly making everyone pay. (The illusion of infinite free web hosting must die.) It's an opportunity for free software competitors. I'm just not sure a rug-pull is the best way to seize the chance.
Si vous avez plus d’utilisateurs, vous passez directement en « période d’essai de 30 jours ».
C’est vraiment vilain comme procédé, c’est même pas une version majeure, si vous suivez automatiquement les mises à jour de la version 6, vous allez être impactés.
Can anyone recommend some good documentation on how to turn on and configure @matrix support in @RocketChat after upgrading a legacy instance to version 6.x?
