We have a static STAC with +/- 25.000 images. A simple spatial + temporal query takes about 50 seconds. That's too long. Which options do we have to improve the performance?

Hey #gischat, do you provide a comprehensive catalog of your data / metadata?

How do you (or would you) accomplish this? I saw some really neat things at #FOSS4GNA , particularly #STAC, but I'm still unsure how to approach things.

We have resources as files, GIS server endpoints, and database connections, and I'd love to keep information about these in one place, even if the resources themselves are not. Suggestions?
