4 episodes in I still quite enjoy #TheGreatCleric. It shows that even a rather basic Isekai premise can be made into a good story if it takes the setting seriously and doesn’t put in all the annoying tropes.
I’m incredibly thankful that the main character got only a few basic skills and really has to train to get better - I really don’t get why this is so rare.
And while I initially found it a bit off-putting, I’ve grown to like the less polished style with all the angular faces. The goofy scenes are clearly also to save money for elaborate, detailed drawings and animation but it works for me.
