To add insult to injury, this laptop (or a close cousin of it: the NVIDIA GPU is slightly different in my case) is actually #Ubuntu #certified https://ubuntu.com/certified/202211-30849/22.04%20LTS SO WHY AREN'T THE TRACKPOINT AND TOUCHPAD RECOGNIZED ON MY SYSTEM? Does the Ubuntu kernel have special patches? (Of note: they do work in the BIOS.)
