... mir war klar, dass das irgendwann passiert und jetzt ist es passiert:
Wer Domains - so wie ich - für Bastelprojekte bei #Freenom registriert hat, wird feststellen, dass diese in die Grütze gehen werden.
Hintergrund ist wohl, dass der Hoster oft von shady Typen genutzt wurde und dessen Eigentümer wohl auch nicht ganz "sauber" ist.
Daher de-akkreditiert die ICANN den Registrar aktuell. Was mit den Domains wird ist unklar...

My #freenom domain stopped working two days ago. Every domains shop it’s shady and it’s hard to understand the cost after the 1st or 2nd year, I don’t know who to trust.
I just need to make my #homeassistant and overseer accessible, and this choice is very annoying. #selfhosted #linux

I'm quite annoyed that #freenom has died and taken down all my .ml domains.

Does anyone know of a #registrar which is actually selling .ml domains? All the ones I've found list them, but don't actually allow a purchase once you go through checkout.

Gabon government takes GA TLD from Freenom

From the announcement,

Gabon's national infrastructure agency estimates that there are currently over 7M delegated domain names in .GA.

BUT.. several million domain names will be deleted as the
previous operator has not provided the data that concern them.

Most of these are likely spam or phishing domains.

One down. Four to go:-)
