The first 24h our latest Feature Guide has been online has been pretty good!

Best Budget Coffee Grinders for 2024 has 24,250 reads so far. There seems to be a lot of interest in finding a quality coffee grinder under a budget! Can't wait to see what the number is like in a week, when search engines (hopefully) start doing the work, pointing people to us.

Check it out if you haven't already:

Our First Look for the Fellow Opus Multipurpose grinder -- our first ever review of a Fellow Product (long story) -- drops later this morning, on Wednesday.

Though it is the first of our "shorter" First Looks, it still has over 60 photos uploaded for the article, and about 3,200 words written.

Here's a few of the photos.

I cannot express enough how much promise this grinder from KitchenAid had in 2004, and how much of a disappointment it was.

ALL KitchenAid had to do was put a good burrset inside, and reduce the static problems. But they did neither. They used a pressed-metal burrset.

It had almost everything we like in grinders today: direct down path, auger, powerful motor, all metal construction, the works.

Let down by the burr set (mostly) and the lack of any kind of anti-static system (a bit).

So sad.

One of the main complaints again the Lagom Mini is the big power brick it ships with.

But it's not that big. And in truth, it sticks out from a wall outlet only a bit more than most of the plugs on Breville devices.

Still, it would be better if the plug wasn't built into the brick - if it could be detatched, extended, so the brick could be further hidden away.

One reason why the is a finalist in CoffeeGeek's 2023 Product of the Year category is the micron-tight tolerances of its build construction.

For example: the tubular grinds chute is embedded in the main body of the grinder. and the fit is down to maybe 20 microns, and uniform. Check out this detailed photo.

(full review coming soon).

More on the and front, and I'm really excited about this. It looks like we're getting in the latest generation of the Zerno Z1 grinder to test and do a full review on.

I've been tracking this cottage industry grinder for some time now, and remain super impressed by what the team behind it has achieved so far.

What's your thoughts on this wicked grinder?

So has an interesting holiday promotion on. They're giving away a Baratza Encore ESP , and apparently (it's a bit confusing) a second Encore ESP for you to gift or designate to someone else.

Sadly, it's for Americans only... but you can enter here:

The Timemore Chestnut C3 ESP Pro was $110 when I tested and reviewed it, and now on Black Friday, it's down to $87.50. This grinder seriously gives the $350 Comandante hand grinder a run for the money, and to be honest, I prefer the Timemore for the handle design.

This grinder's output rivals $400 electric grinders.

We’ve bought an electric conical burr - . The price was dropped by 33%, so it was a sin not to get one. I can finally stop grinding manually, like a peasant…😉🤡

Also have you see our comprehensive first look at the Turin DF64 Gen 2 ? A bit of a game changer, and the potential to be the best grinder under $1,000 released in 2023.

And the thing has a plasma generator. Seriously.

We try to be really honest with all the reviews we publish on CoffeeGeek. Breville, for example, is a long time advertiser and supporter of CoffeeGeek, and I've done consulting work with them in the past.

That didn't translate into any pulled punches in our review of the Breville Dose Control Pro, a grinder you should probably pass on.
