These are 'whipped cream flowers' I saw on the street I ran down today. 🏃‍♂️
I have been seeing these flowers everywhere the past few days.
Perhaps Mountain Laurel is suited to the hot and humid Japanese climate.

Passionate red Mountain Laurel buds. These colors were so vibrant that involuntarily I stopped running and took a picture with my phone. They were shaped like red sugar candy, like strawberry cream.
