If I have done one thing while running #mtgcommander nights at my LGS for 5-1/2 years, it’s teaching players that they should run graveyard hate because almost every deck I play relies on using it as an extra resource
This afternoon I reworked my Umori Slime #mtgcommander#mtgedh deck. The goal is to create as many oozes as possible and then run players over.
The day before they revealed Slime Against Humanity I had said to myself “if they print another card where you can play as many as you want in a commander deck, I am going to buy at least 30 of them.”
The hope is to get Thrumming Stone into play and then start rippling my way into a whole bunch of Slimes.
Once a month I change things up when running #mtgcommander#mtgedh night at my LGS. Some of us are playing Oathbreaker, the 60 card singleton multiplayer format where you pick a planeswalker and a “signature spell” to be your commander. Games are quicker and seem to have more impactful decisions that a normal game of Commander.
Here's a $5 off $100 code at MinMaxGames for anyone who wants it. It's not a huge discount, but they're currently the cheapest place with stock to order the MTG Fallout deck sets ($168 w/free shipping), and every little bit helps...
For all the hate YouTube gets for it’s stance on playing ads for non-paying users, I have found it an invaluable resource for interesting #mtgedh#mtgcommander content. Where else could I find someone building a RUG cascade enchantress deck?!?
It's here! Planeswalkers Playing Planeswalkers Playing Planechase on Shuffle Up & Play! Join Teferi Magic, Ashlen Rose, and Tappy Toe Claws for an amazing game of Commander!
I’m really tempted to build a mono green token deck that includes doubling season, primal vigour and ceaterhoof behemoth. But finding a good commander is taking a while.
I've been working on a new deck box concept/design. I'm now confident enough in the fit/finish to put it out in the world.
RE: This deck box...
Hot or not?
Hit it or quit it?
Smash or pass?
F**k, marry, or kill?
I'm a few weeks away from actually being able to put it out into the world as a final product ($16.99 shipped?), but I want to explore any noteworthy refinements.
