Moderate turned pretty hard left progressive by the Trump era. Got infected with the "woke mind virus" somewhere along the way.

"The right keeps us fighting a culture war while we're trying to start a class war."

Blinken tells CNN the US has seen evidence of attempting to influence upcoming US elections

72wagon,

@CarlG @GottaLaff

While I agree with your sentiment, I'm definitely not rooting for Biden. I will pull the lever for him though, but there won't be any enthusiasm.

Kevin Oleary shilling for Trump after his big fraud judgement. If Oleary wants to be permitted to commit fraud in his business practices without any worry, let him go operate in red states. He seems to think they're open to this kind of thing. Maybe he's right.

72wagon,

@patrickworld Exactly, he had his talking points lined up. It's clear he's just trying to hype this whole thing to make New Yorkers think their AG was somehow in the wrong for going after rampant business fraud.

72wagon,

@patrickworld 🤣 Definitely. He clearly implicated himself. Maybe some of his friends could come on and back him up on this point.

Honestly, I can barely make it through watching an interview of this guy. He kind of represents everything wrong with the US right now. Yelling at the screen when he talks 😀

72wagon,

@patrickworld Yup, what a guy. I wonder how the average Canadian feels about him.

As I watched him talking what I was hearing was, "don't you get it? When your rich, this is okay."

I think we should be talking about a Wealth Tax of some kind in the US. It's way past time, and it's a simple matter of fairness We can't wait around for politicians to figure this out on their own. We need to exert pressure on them, or vote them out.

In the news today:

The Guardian: ‘Tax us now’: ultra-rich call on governments to introduce wealth taxes

72wagon,

@HistoPol Good article. I think there are a lot of ways this could be done, but the biggest issue is just getting people talking about it. This problem is foundational to so many other issues we're facing.
