I love reading more TOH, but I can’t help but wonder what would happen if Mark decided to write an original story.
His writing’s good, his canon shows that he’s got lots of ideas, and the action scene of Ayzee against the fairy the other day was great as well. I would 100% buy/support him on patreon if he decided to go original.
I watched Dragon Prince slightly before TOH and I remember really liking it, although I haven’t watched season 4-5 yet. 1-3 is a self-contained story, although some mysteries remain for the following seasons to expand upon.
I started Tunic yesterday and rang the first two bells (east and west). Loving it so far. Too bad work will get in the way for the most part of the week, I can’t wait to delve into the game again :)
I think you are talking of Furi. The developers shared how many units were sold on which platforms (link to Vice article), which showed that Xbox just wasn’t worth working on because it wouldn’t recoup the costs. For reference, the game was already a few years old at that point and MS refused to put it on GamePass, which would’ve hurt the game’s visibility even more.
It does! I frequently walk the moat at night-time. It’s peaceful and relaxing, and castles at night do have a certain mystique.
As far as I know, dry moats are still called moats, but I’m unsure if they have a name in english. This castle’s moat was actually filled with water back when it was in activity. It must’ve been a sight to behold.
Sorry, i read the link while half asleep. The article itself is only a few lines long, and then it diverts to “Other Darrington Press games” and I didn’t notice it while reading.
I’ll check it out when it releases, although the problem with other systems is always the same - my group already knows dnd and doesn’t want to learn a new game. I bought some pathfinder books a few months ago and I’ve never had the chance to use them.
It seems to me it’s a pvp focused game, which is not really my thing. Having fun as a party is the main reason I play DnD to begin with. Too much stress already, I like sitting and playing a chill adventure with my friends instead of competing against them.
Playing with established characters is great if you like reading other people’s stories and care about them.
Playing blank characters is great if you are creative and can make up stories of your own.
I’d like blank characters more if games were made so I actually have agency in the world and my choices actually mattered, but I’ve yet to find such a game. Most of the time you’re a generic hero and the entire world revolves around you for no reason, and everyone is waiting for you to do their chores while also spoon-feeding you the entire content of the game, which takes me out of the story and shatters my suspension of disbelief.
Like, in Skyrim I became the head of Hogwarts while only knowing one or two basic spells. It’s hard to play a role when the game itself doesn’t care about you and gives you everything no matter what.
