Yup.
Ethiopian Jews, Indian Jews, and tiny communties of Chinese and Japanese Jews.

Edit: There are more, but those are mostly Jews that ran away / were expelled from other countries.
Like Jews in Thailand who fled Russia and Iran.

ArtikBanana,

Indian Jews are also the only ones amongst Jewish communities who haven’t faced any discrimination. Despite their presence in India for around 2,000 years.

ArtikBanana,

Thousands of Ethiopian Jews were evacuated into Israel through covert operations by Israel.

ArtikBanana,

It hasn’t been disproved that Ethiopian Jews are ethnically Jewish.
A genetic study showed a possible genetic link.

“in 1661 they were allowed to revert to Judaism, although they were still required to wear a distinctive patch on their clothing.”

ArtikBanana,

Forgive me, but I’m going to copy-paste another post of mine.

ArtikBanana,

That’s one aggressive response.
Apologist? To what exactly?

it doesn’t change the fact that antisemitism is a western invention.

This is what I replied to.
The links in my reply detail antisemitism that doesn’t have an origin in the “west”.

ArtikBanana,

Might want to give Glove80 a look. And since it sounds like you prefer light switches like me, there’s a version with pro red switches (35g).
Maybe also hop in to MoErgo’s Discord and get some ideas there.

I started with a Ferris Sweep (34 keys), and while I loved a lot of things about it, those weren’t enough keys for me, I had to compromise too much + I realized a wireless split would be much more comfortable to me than a wired one.
Although I like having the option to use it wired.

ArtikBanana,

Transcend ssd220s (4tb SATA) can be found for really nice prices.
Even had a thread about this one on Lemmy cuz I wasn’t sure how good it is (it’s great).

ArtikBanana,

Framework laptops don’t come with Linux out of the box, but Linux is very nicely supported and tested on them.

ArtikBanana,

Are you ok with a split keyboard?
If yes then the Glove80 might fit, although it’s not completely silent.
Silent low pro switches are supposed to come out in a few months, but you’ll probably have to solder those onto the keyboard.

ArtikBanana,

I know there are keyboard enthusiasts events in some places of the world, which might have one.
I’d suggest checking out MoErgo’s (Glove80 creators) Discord
Might find a way to try one there

ArtikBanana,

I believe most people here with ergonomic keyboards have one either because they are already experiencing pain, or are trying to prevent it.

I got one trying to prevent it (Glove80), but I ended up liking the keyboard for other reasons.
It’s much more comfortable for me, extremely customizable - Interchangeable keycaps, programmable with ZMK, easy to change the tilt and tent, etc.
And I ended up really liking the low profile choc switches.

It depends on what you’re looking for in a keyboard.

ArtikBanana,

That’s neat.
I’ve built a Sweep and a Fifi, which were very nice, but I found them too limiting. Especially for gaming.
Maybe with enough time it would’ve worked, I’ve seen people with some crazy layouts specifically optimized to their workflow. But the Glove80 also ended up being more comfortable so I’ll be sticking to it.

Next stage for me would be adding a pointing device to the keyboard and then I’m set.

Any vertical mice with good sensors?

I’ve been having pre-carpal tunnel symptoms lately and I really want to switch to a vertical mouse, but I’ve heard from a lot of people that they just don’t have the same sensory quality that you get with a traditional mid-high end gaming mouse. This would be an issue for me since constantly do quick flicks and don’t...

ArtikBanana,

I’m waiting for the Hansker mouse to go into production.
A vertical mouse with a high-DPI, high-polling rate sensor.

Edit: Just realized it’s been a while aince this was posted.
Hope you managed to find something fitting.
