We take a look at that stunning JWST imagery of the Ring Nebula - that familiar Messier planterary in Lyra. This study has revealed new, unexpected details and demonstrated the science of our golden wonder scope.

We talk to Dr Robert Wessen, who has worked on the data, about what was revealed as well as talking about his life astronomy. He also exclusively reveals what is going to happen next in this area of study.

@AwesomeAstronomy just finally got an opportunity to listen to the September episode. Here's recent shots from my backyard of the Coat hanger (8/19/2023 no filter) and M27 (9/1/2023) dual narrowband filter. The M27 is very cropped in. It's a small target in my setup (80 mm refractor plus APS-C sensor camera).
