Maybe it's just me but the swiping to up/downvote is incredibly frustrating to use. I find myself accidentally downvoting often. My other issue is that the votes don't register immediately, so most of the time I can't tell whether I didn't swipe far enough or if it didn't register yet and end up probably swiping 5 times before...
It's something I can probably get used to, but I think the things you've lined out would make a lot smoother for me to use. I do get some occasional accidental swipes too, so maybe increasing the distance or the threshold for what counts as a "swipe" might reel a bit better. Like I said, I do love the app so far and intend to keep using it! Keep up the good work!
It's confusing for new users, and this instance in particular has 7k users but no interactions. It's a bot army, with the top user being called @admin....
I think they could put it in the Lemmy source code that an instance won't display or take comments/posts from anyone with those usernames. So even if someone removed that restriction from their own instance, they wouldn't be able to post on any other instance that has that feature enabled
Wow, since my post yesterday, lemmy.world has added 2000+ new users to cross the 30000 user mark! Just think, it was only at 20k three days ago. Crazy growth....
The domain doesn't have anything to do with what is hosted behind it, generally speaking. Any normal website could use .world or .social if they wanted to but they're uncommon

What is up with the default comment sorting?
It seems like there is no order to it, and there doesn't appear to be any way to change it? I would like to sort by "top"
Lemmy.world officially has 30k users! (lemmy.world)
