What are some of your favorite game mechanics?
What game mechanics do you enjoy or that surprised you when playing a game? I recently started playing Tunic and I love building out the "manual" for the game and getting hints on how to play.

I'm considering making a reddit to lemmy cross posting tool.
Idea: Scrape all the posts from a subreddit as they're being made, and "archive" them on a lemmy instance, making it very clear it's being rehosted, and linking back to the original. It would probably have to be a "closed" lemmy instance specifically for this purpose. The tool would run for multiple subreddits, allowing Lemmy...

The way Lemmy works right now is you search a community in your instance for it to then get shown, so you need to first discover that community from elsewhere. With that in mind, what are some growing communities that you discovered that could get some more love?

(Solved) Missing comments/posts
I've been poking around and I've noticed there some communities on this instance that say they have 5 posts or so, but when I open them, it says there are no posts. I also tried making a post in a community on the instance, and it shows the community as having one post now, but it isn't visible....
Users from before the current wave of Reddit refugees, how do you feel about the incoming monsoon of refugees?
I imagine there's excitement for the increase of activity but worries about the potential toxic side of Reddit coming along too....
Reddit has permanently suspended my account for supporting Lemmy.
I have been supporting Lemmy recently a lot and made posts about Lemmy that got big reach. Today, sadly the reddit account through which, I moderated a lot of subs and spent time on, comes to an end. The reason was because I spammed according to reddit, but the reality is that they have censored me because I was hurting Reddit....
A question about this instance
So, dunno if this is a instance thing, lemmy, or just fediverse in general, but im havin trouble subscribin to communities on other instances. for example, !technology returns a 404, while !gaming loads as expected. is this expected?
