Anyone who still thinks that is either new to Linux or profoundly naive.

People still shit downvotes on me whenever I talk about how linux isn’t perfect.

Microsoft, for all its faults is at least honest enough to admit outright that their software needs protection. They’re still not honest about what kind of protection it needs. But at least they’re not going to yoink anything off your system they don’t want you to use like Apple does

they don’t even need to put shit directly on our devices to get what they want really, they have a wiretap into all the advertising companies and all the internet providers and all the cellphone and land line providers. They have a wiretap into every remotely accessible camera system. They don’t need to come up with more invasive ways to get into all our shit but they keep doing it.

EmperorHenry, to protonprivacy in Is Proton Unlimited worth it?
@EmperorHenry@infosec.pub avatar

depends on the password and encryption you use on your home router. If your router is a VPN router, then your risk is significantly less, but not zero

it is, but don’t use their VPN, it’s vulnerable to tunnelvision

iVPN and Mullvad are the only two I’m aware of that are immune to tunnelvision
