Signal and Joplin. Truly awesome projects!

I released my first KWin script to improove KDE Plasma usage on a touchscreen! (codeberg.org)

Hello fellow KDE users! I use KDE Plasma on my tablet, but found windows managements a bit painful when using only the touchscreen, so I wrote this KWin script: it just organize automatically each window in a separate virtual desktop, maximized and borderless, allowing you to use the built in touchscreen gestures (3 fingers...

FarLine99,

Didn’t try this yet but sounds awesome ❤️

FarLine99,

Good screen is made by LG, bad by samsung :)

FarLine99,

You have to sync folder that includes notes by choosing “file system” option in sync page in settings. You don’t need to import it. Sync notes to some folder on PC, transfer this folder to phone and sync it there.

FarLine99,

yup 🙃

FarLine99,

I think that a win-win recommendation would be Google Translate (Lingva). You can also try MinT

FarLine99,

i’m more concerned about privacy side and that’s why I use Lingva, but having alternatives is important, I completely agree!

FarLine99,

🤟❤️

(Please see comments) Alternatives to Signal if they exit EU due to ending E2EE

Like the title states looking for E2EE apps (Android and iOS) without going into much details or needs to be robust enough and easy to use for anyone and stable for operations that are susceptible to constant electronic warfare. I did some research and thought about replacing Signal with Molly and wondering if it will still work...

FarLine99,

it won’t be easy, yes. but I think that with Signal everything will be ok 🙂

FarLine99,

Completely agree. Like you, I found Plasma to be a much better DE with a touchscreen than GNOME (ironic, isn’t it?).

maliit-keyboard is not bad even now (responsive, fast and beautiful). But there are still problems with the fact that it does not work everywhere (some sites, Signal Flatpak).

FarLine99,

Configurable touchpad gestures on Plasma. And a non-nonsense gesture to open the overview effect (waiting for Plasma 6, already done :)

FarLine99,

Agree. When the program became more popular, many scammers appeared who used this software.
