Screenshot was taken on lemmy.ml, but icon is not displayed on lemmy.world either -> there is no dependence on the lemmy version.
about mastodon. i love centralized social networks because you can search for any post, regardless of the date of its creation, any person, any community. in mastodon, however, this does not work....

Privacy focused translator app built with MD3....
Could it be that the processor sends data from the camera/microphone to the Qualcomm/Mediatek servers, bypassing the system? Is it possible to find out about this by checking the traffic leaving the device? Are there any studies that have done this? If this happens, then even GrapheneOS becomes mostly meaningless.
WHY? I’ve heard a lot that LineageOS cannot be called a private system. That it is more about extending the life of old devices. Can you tell me specifically point by point why it is not private? And I’m sure it’s better than stock phone firmware in terms of privacy.
Why are reproducible builds only on one platform (Android)? Desktop version could have a built-in backdoor and data would be transferred not from the phone, but from the PC)

I switched to Linux, flashed my phone to LineageOS, changed all my software to one that respects privacy, switched my family and most* friends to Signal, started hating megacorporations and pretty much every government in the world, asked a lot of questions on...

Simple Gallery Pro from GitHub is my go to. Really like the UI, features, speed. Truly awesome project. What would YOU choose? 🙂
I would like to share with you a very cool project that develops drivers for correct operation of Microsoft Surface devices on Linux. I myself use Surface Pro 6 with these drivers and everything works like a charm (battery life is good, cameras work, stylus, keyboard, touchscreen, screen). The developers are gods. From myself, I...
