As long as we are talking about old games that are still the gold standard, how is it possible no one has recreated the giant-god-monster and city management game Black and White yet?! That game was fantastic, and its premise so solid. It seems ripe for replication in more contemporary engines.
I hate to admit that I'm not digging having a completely separate combat system I have to master for this one part of one instance.
The weapon randomizer weirds me out as well as it includes weapons I don't own. And even if it was only choosing from my stash, there's still weapons that I can't delete from my inventory (for some reason.)
Eitherway it ensures that I only get weapons I can use every once in a blue moon, as I am rediculously unlucky. (And mean that quite seriously.)

To be honest, I solo Iso vaults with a Rhino with Gloom and a Radiation based Nataruk + Kuva Nukor for armor stripping and minions.
Gloom slows the Mechs more than enough to make every point easy to hit and they seldomly get to shoot anything on note back at you. And Rhino should be able to shruck off most of whatever else might hit you while you're dealing with the guardian.
It's a bit cheesy, but it gets the job done fairly fast.
I remember a few. I'm thinking they could be considered obscure to some degree, but mostly because I live in Europe. But I remember 'Mighty Max,' 'Captain N: The Game Master' and 'The Toxic Crusaders.'

PC players are (from my personal experience) the most dedicated gamers. Where as Console players tend more towards the casual approach to gaming.
Consoles typically being the cheaper solution and it plugs into peoples already existing 'media centers.' PC's "needs" extra gear and facilities, from monitors, keyboard & mouse, desktop, maybe an extra controller and an OS (if you didn't buy it pre-made) and such.
Few casual 'anythings' would opt for the PC option to begin with, just because of the set-up requirements alone.
Just examples of why PCs can run up the bill. That's why I put Needs in quotation marks.
In actuality, you'll probably only need the Monitor, Headset/Speakers, Keyboard & Mouse and something to put it on. And non of those have to be expensive. And that's only if you bought a stationary. Laptops have become a cheaper alternative nowadays. And you'll only really need a mouse for those.
But laptops aren't known for being the best solution when it comes to gaming. They tend to overheat, even without pushing them.
But alas, it was more about my personal experience when it the types of people that play, PC vs. Console. And the console players are typically the "casual gamers" in that scenario.

You need to Rank your stuff to Max to increase your own Rank. With your own Rank higher you unlock a bunch of other weapons. So I'd recommend a bit of "grinding basic weapons" to increase your arsenal. Different weapons for different situations and such.
Also Mods make the difference. If you can get some Corrosive damage on those buggers it should help a bunch.
