I’ll love what they’re building, but next to Memmy, Wefwef, Mlem, etc, Lift Off’s UI and UX needs the most work. I hope they can get a user experience person to start contributing.
Memmy devs are sprinting like the Flash. I don’t think they’ll get approved by the 1st, but I think they’re submitting to the AppStore tonight or tomorrow.
Crazy to see people that have basically rebuilt core Apollo in like 2 weeks.
I realized I interacted / posted / commented less and less on reddit these last couple of years. Couldn't even tell you why exactly. Now I've been here for a week and, I don't know, I just like interacting again... Hope it stays like this for a while :)
Agreed. This is way more fun. More people respond and it feels nice to be a pioneer again. It’s fun to watch people figure shit out and design solutions to new problems.
Hopefully this is just the start. Selling on Amazon is a nightmare. Especially when Amazon decides they want to gobble up your part of the marketplace.
Attached: 1 image I just released a really important Apollo update that adds the ability for users with remaining subscription time left to decline an automatic refund. Devs pay refunds out of pocket, and this will be about $250K, so I thank you for your consideration. ❤️ Also, this update includes an amazing "Goodbye Apollo...
When he told everyone he was going to offer refunds, almost everyone said that they wanted a way to decline the refund. He’s literally just giving people what they asked for.
Ditto with tipping. People wanted that to be easier / more prominent so we could basically Go Fund Me his way out of debt.
Not precisely humans but the ancient placental mammal lineage that includes humans, dogs, and bats.
Obviously. That’s how evolution works. Everything alive today had an “ancestor” alive at the time of the dinosaurs, and before the time of the dinosaurs.
A great use for reddit is the ability to search posts and opinions about any niche topic. Will that be possible with Lemmy as it grows? Will I be able to Google "instant rice Lemmy" and get a comprehensive tier list of each brand?...

Might be worth deleting and reinstalling so the devs can get some feedback before submitting to the AppStore.
