Well done! Looks great for me and it is a nice alternative to the “classic” look! I am already really happy with it, you did a great job! Others have already mentioned some features they would like, so I got nothing to add on that front except maybe a few customization options like color themes or compact/big picture mode. But maybe it exists and I haven’t found it yet. Anyway, really great job and it is fun to use lemmy with this!

Two days ago I let my heavy glas water bottle drop right on my left foot, so that it bruised and bled right away. Today I get an Amazon delivery and I know the guy just rings once, waits a couple of seconds and then leaves. So I ran to the door, but I slipped and I hit my right foot on the door full speed. Both my feet hurt while walking. I am having a day in bed now. Hope your days have been better, folks.

As United fans we don’t get that many good news with all the drama around Glazers, problematic players and transfer sagas. So I just allow myself to be happy about him joining and I hope he will smash it.

If anyone is new and wonders if it has always been so slow and buggy: not really. Been here for 3 weeks or so and it was mostly pretty good experience, but last days were pretty bad. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I’m not bothered by it at all, and I’m not at all curious about what they’re saying about me. I suppose I just trust that if someone has something to say to me, they will. But I’m coming to realize that is somewhat unusual so I am curious about what you experience if you learn about people talking about you?

Not really, to be honest, because it would stress me out to go through all the possible scenarios what people could say about me. And the scenarios in my mind would probably be worse than the reality, so no need to bother myself with it.

Streaming companies are lucky that not more people know about Stremio + Torrentio + Real Debrid. That combination is a game changer and allowed me to get rid of all streaming services.

This is a guide that someone on Reddit wrote and it helped me a lot. It looks complicated with the first glance, but when you do the steps it takes less than 15 minutes. I changed the order of the original slightly and added a few infos to make it easier:

“Guide installing Stremio with Torrentio and Real Debird on your desktop.

Stremio

Go to www.stremio.comDownload the relevant client for your platform (Windows/Mac/Linux) Open Stremio and sign up with email or facebook

Real Debird

Go to real-debrid.comSign up Go to Premium Offers ($3 for one month, $16 for 6 months) Choose a package and subscribe

Torrentio

Go to torrentio.strem.fun/configureChoose your options for providers, quality, foreign language etc You can now choose to install Torrentio without a Debid Provider. Personally I use Real Debrid to connect directly to a server vs having my IP shared in peer to peer and to speed up performance. Torrentio has a slot for a possible API key (the Real Debrid key) To install with Real Debrid follow the next steps: Go to the API key with this link: real-debrid.com/apitokenCopy the API Key and go back to Torrentio and paste it under RealDebird API Key Install

The easiest would probably getting a FireStick and just putting stremio as an app there. So your girlfriend can always go to the same place and find all of her shows/movies in great quality in one spot.

I think it depends which one you take, how open they are for external software. But with Firesticks or cubes you can do 100%. With others it might be worth googling beforehand, if Stremio can be installed on that specific tv box you choose. On those boxes you just need Stremio as an app. The app on your box then syncs with the settings and addons you have in the desktop version, so no hassle.

Dunnow if it is related, but everything is just worse this the upgrade than it was before. Now everything takes forever to load, responses take longer, pictures don’t load the correct way. So for me this was a downgrade in my experience here or what the Germans call a “Verschlimmbesserung” (making it worse by trying to improve).

Wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up at something like 15+5, so that we can say we got 20m and Fulham can say they just paid 15. Hopefully we get this done quickly and sell some more before pre-season tour.

In the end it probably also comes down to two things: personal preference of design/look and how active the community is on each plattform. I for example stopped using kbin cause here are far more users and I like the look and feel of Lemmy more. Also there are a few good apps to help me completely stay off reddit.

Tried "Memmy" before and right now I like Thunder a bit more. The UI looks cleaner to me, it works well. Good job, I have put it on my phone where I used to have Apollo.
